Landscape Designers’ Group

Our July tour will be held on Wednesday evening, July 21 at Sidwell Friends School in northwest Washington. We will visit the sustainable Middle School building, its engineered wetland that processes stormwater and wastewater from the building, and its green roof.  Completed in 2006, the building was the first in DC to be awarded LEED Platinum certification.  Andropogon Associates served as landscape architects.

Place:  Please meet in the Upper School dining room at 6:30 PM for refreshments. The tour, given by facility manager Steve Sawyer, will begin promptly at 7 PM.  There is plentiful, free parking in the garage below the playing field at 3845 Wisconsin Ave NW.
